— Medical Acupuncture —
A westernised approach to Acupuncture, usually treated by General practitioner's, Physios, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and veterinary practitioners. Generally it is found to be very effective in managing pain, tension, Headaches, soft tissue injuries, stimulating a healing response and blood flow and allowing you to experience a sense of relaxation.
Medical Acupuncture is usually performed by General practitioners, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, and veterinary practitioners, who have undertaken alternative training & qualifications to perform Acupuncture. It uses the same treatment techniques as Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCA) but the treatment methods differ to TCA. The term medical Acupuncture does not mean that it can only be used by medical physicians. The term is used to convey the approach when deciding to use Acupuncture is one based on the structure and function of the body. Medical Acupuncture, sometimes referred to as dry needling does not claim to treat everything as each treatment is tailored to the specific requirements of patients and the treatment strategy. It is applying physiological and Anatomical knowledge to apply Acupuncture.
Generally it is found to be very effective in managing pain, tension, Headaches, soft tissue injuries, stimulating a healing response and blood flow, allowing you to experience a sense of relaxation.

- Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
- Acute & chronic Pain management
- Tension & Headaches
- Muscular/soft tissue injuries
- Tendinitis (achillies, carpel tunnel, tennis/golfers elbow)
Both our Physiotherapist & Sports Therapists are qualified to perform Medical Acupuncture and have been inspected by the local Authority of facilities, qualifications, insurance and correct waste disposal.
