Clinical Yoga
Clinical Yoga is a totally prescriptive approach to your yoga or movement, which addresses the musculoskeletal (MSK) problems of each individual and will ensure a return to previous strength, mobility and balance, led by a professional & Experienced Sports Therapist. This will be like a rehab session, using simple and effective “yoga” exercises that you may be given by your physiotherapist or Sports Therapist to help prevent or improve pain levels and injury progression. You will be guided to perform a sequence of exercises that will give you the confidence to know you are helping your physical & emotional recovery. Classes are small & cost effective, however we do offer a 1:1 Clinical yoga classes with our therapist which can be found under sports therapy services on our app.
Adult Beginners & Advanced Yoga (16+ years)
Restorative yoga is a gentle, relaxing, passive style that allows students to relax and release the body into a gentle stretch that is held for as long as 10 minutes. This style makes use of a wide range of props, including bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets. The intention is to provide support within each pose, making it easier to completely let go.
Classes
Restore – Beginners Yoga with The Yoga Junkie – Tuesdays (45mins)
Redeem your self and begin something new, retreating from the rapid pace of daily life in this wonderful 45 minute beginners yoga class.
We will begin with acceptance, allowing for Yoga to be more than just a form of exercise. We will release expectations, and face our realities, begin to understand the core, notice your breathing, become comfortable with stillness, learn the basics of life not just what arrives or thrives on our mats.
Rejuvenate your nervous system and find balance, using props to assist you with gentle and extended postures, and gravity to open the body further. You will discover new space in your body and mind, enhance flexibility, and ease overworked muscles.
Beginners will benefit from pressing the reset button and starting from the very beginning.
The slow and gentle pace of the sessions will help you shift from the “fight or flight” response of the sympathetic nervous system to the restorative “rest and digest” response of the parasympathetic nervous system. Your body will start to relax with assisted, extended holds, allowing plenty of time and space to open your body and clear unwelcome debris from your mind.
You will develop tools that can help with your own self-care routine. It will be the perfect blend of ashtanga and restorative postures. You will be expertly guided and fully supported using soul-led, intuitive techniques, in a blissfully tranquil environment, with our twinkle light ceiling in our beautiful studio & Holistic Wellness space.
We will sprinkle a little sound healing therapy when we can, that emit frequencies that can assist with bringing balance to your energetic centres. You will be encouraged to step into your power, and take up the space you deserve in the world, your innate birth right.
You’ll be curious to know, “What’s that Smell?”, when you inhale the calming aromas during sav asana. A Yoga Junkie blend, our very own meditation mist, carefully curated using select, organic, essential oils.
You will begin to notice shifts in your physical, mental, energetic, spiritual, and emotional selves. Tension will ease, limitations will dissipate, pain will reduce, restrictions will unfold, and this will occur in synchronicity. You’ll be compelled to take a step back from the intensity of everyday life stresses to reset and unwind, reducing stress, lifting your mood and promoting restful sleep.
Welcome back home to yourself.

Some of us may be hypermobile in our joints and may have noticed a decrease in strength, stability and balance. Some of us have less mobility in our joints and may have noticed a decrease in freedom of movement over time.
Each posture is carefully explained, HOW to take the posture, but more importantly WHY and HOW it will benefit YOU.
Very often Yoga poses & exercises are used as part of our prehab/rehab programmes to help prevent, support, strengthen or recover from an injury. It can also be a great way to maintain your physical Health. This may also be a stepping stone to return back to exercise/sports or your Yoga/pilates classes post injury guided by a Therapist led class. Movement performed correctly is essential to preventing & recovering from an Injury and very often its a lack of confidence which leads to inactivity. These classes can also be an opportunity to increase your confidence levels to return back to daily activities & exercise following previous pain or injury.
Adele will be working with clients on a one-2-one basis within the clinic as a Sports Therapist, as well as offering
Clinical Yoga in a class setting.
